About

It was built to solve our own delivery day.

Wunder Delivery started as the tool a flower shop built because Shopify could not show it tomorrow's deliveries. Everything in it exists because a delivery morning went wrong without it.

Where it came from

Flower delivery is the hardest version of the local-delivery problem. Orders arrive days ahead for a specific date, most of them are gifts, every one carries a message that has to be right, and the busiest days of the year are the ones where a mistake is least forgivable.

Shopify handles the shop side of that well and the delivery side not at all. Its order list is built around the day an order was placed, which is exactly backwards when your work is organised around the day it goes out. So we built the view we needed, then the printing, then the driver portal — each one because the manual version had failed on a busy day.

What that means for the product

Nothing here is speculative. Every feature answers a specific thing that goes wrong: gift messages arriving in a note nobody reads, the buyer's phone number being the recipient's, a print dialog for every card on Valentine's Day, drivers ringing to ask which orders are theirs.

It also means the awkward parts are documented rather than hidden. Our help centre spends as much time on the behaviours that surprise people as on the ones that sell the product, because the surprising ones are what cost you an afternoon.

Who it is for

Florists, because that is where it started. But the shape of the problem is the same for bakeries taking celebration orders, gift shops separating the sender from the recipient, hamper businesses with several printed pieces per order, and any local retailer running their own deliveries.

The common thread is not what you sell. It is that your day is organised around a delivery date, and your orders are not.

Shopify stays in charge

Wunder Delivery is not a second system to keep in step. Your orders, products, customers and payments stay in Shopify. We read those orders, add the working layer around them, and write back the things that belong on the order — a completed delivery, a printed tag. Uninstall tomorrow and your Shopify data is untouched.

Tell us what breaks

If your delivery day does not fit the shape described on this site, we would genuinely like to hear about it. Most of what has been built came from someone describing a specific bad morning.

Tell us how your delivery day works.

Especially the part that goes wrong.
