Why you need both
The date and the fulfilment details need to sit beside the order while your team works, not in a separate tool. Wunder Delivery maps what Bird saves into the same view you print and assign from.
You are not replacing Bird, and your customers see no change at checkout. The two do different jobs: Bird asks the question, Wunder Delivery organises the answers.
What Bird collects
The details Wunder Delivery can use
- The selected date
- The time slot
- The delivery method
- The pickup location
These reach your printed documents and the optional delivery columns in the order list once you have mapped them.
Setting it up
You map your own fields, in about fifteen minutes.
Delivery apps save their answers under names each shop can change, so Wunder Delivery does not guess. You point each field at the right one, once.
- Look at a real order. Open one in your Shopify admin and read the Additional details section. Those names are what you are mapping from.
- Open Settings → Integrations in Wunder Delivery and pick Bird.
- Match each field to the one your orders actually carry, and save.
- Check it worked. Turn on the delivery columns in your order list. If they fill in, you are done.
Worth knowing
One setting matters more than this one.
The mapping above decides what appears on your printed documents. A different setting decides whether Wunder Delivery can find your orders at all.
Your delivery app also writes the date onto each order as a tag, and Wunder Delivery finds each day’s work by matching that tag exactly. If the format it expects does not match the format your app writes, every screen shows no orders — with no error to explain it. It takes a minute to set and it is the first thing to do after installing.
