AI & Automation

Catch a bad address before the van leaves.

Some of this is genuinely AI. Some of it is ordinary automation doing reliable work. We label which is which, because the difference matters when you are deciding what to trust — and all of it is optional.

Early access

The AI features are in early access. They are in use and they do what this page describes, but they are still being refined — how they behave, what they cost in credits and which of them exist may change. You can turn any of them off in Settings at any time, and everything else in Wunder Delivery works with all of them switched off.

AI-assisted

Where a model genuinely helps.

A missing flat number found after dispatch costs you a second delivery. These features read the order before it prints and add a short note to the dispatch sheet. They never edit an address, and they never act on their own — the note is information for whoever is packing.

Early access

Missing detail warnings

Flag an address that looks incomplete — no floor, flat, unit, room or shop number — and raise it for review before the order is printed.

Early access

Address translation

Read a delivery address written in another language, so the person preparing or delivering the order can act on it. The address only — a delivery note left at checkout is printed as written, not translated. Included on every plan; one AI credit per order.

Checks run against a real order, alongside the source data, so a person can confirm before acting.

Deterministic validation

Checks that give the same answer every time.

No model involved. These are rules that either pass or fail, which is exactly what you want before a document prints.

Pre-print order checks

Confirm an order carries the details a document needs before it reaches the printer.

Data standardisation

Map delivery information from supported apps into consistent Wunder variables, so print templates behave the same way regardless of source.

Rules-based automation

Work that repeats, handled once.

Ordinary automation. Useful precisely because it is predictable.

Automatic printing

Print an incoming order as it arrives, rather than batching by hand. Available from the Automate plan.

Print routing rules

Send each document type to the printer that handles it, once the rule is set.

AI-assisted work draws on a monthly credit allowance: 500 on Essential, 1,000 on Growth, 2,000 on Automate and 5,000 on Enterprise. Deterministic checks and rules-based automation do not consume credits, and a person reviews every AI suggestion before it affects an order, a document or a delivery.

In practice

Three things worth knowing before you switch it on.

A blank note is often the right answer. If a check reads an order and finds nothing worth saying, it writes nothing. On a shop where most addresses are fine, most orders should come back empty — that is the check working, not failing.

Generating a note by hand can take a minute or two. The work runs on our servers and outgrows the browser’s patience, so the page sometimes says it could not confirm a result when the note has in fact been written. Wait and look again before pressing the button a second time — each order allows three attempts, and an attempt whose answer never arrived still counts.

Switching AI on does not process your back catalogue. Notes are written as orders arrive, so every order placed before you enabled it has none. You can generate one for any of them, and each is charged normally.

AI questions

What merchants ask about AI.

Is AI required to use Wunder Delivery?

No, and this matters more than usual right now because the AI features are in early access. Order management, gift messages, printing and the driver portal all work with every AI option switched off. AI assistance is there when an order needs an extra check, and a person reviews every suggestion before it is acted on.

What does address translation do?

It reads a delivery address written in another language and produces a version the person preparing or delivering the order can act on. It translates the address only — the delivery note or instructions a customer leaves at checkout are not translated. It is included on every plan, uses one AI credit per order, and is currently an early-access feature.

Can it warn about missing floor or unit information?

Yes. Orders can be checked before printing for details that look incomplete, such as a missing floor, flat, unit, room or shop number. The check raises the order for a person to review rather than changing the address itself.
