Printing & invoices

One order, five documents, and a print dialog for each.

A single delivery order can need a message card, an envelope, a dispatch sheet and an invoice — different paper, different printers. Shopify gives you a packing slip and a browser dialog.

Why is there no template for message cards, envelopes or dispatch sheets in Shopify?

Shopify has no custom document templates for delivery operations. Merchants copy details into Word documents or hand-write cards, switching between multiple windows just to get one order out of the door.

How Wunder Delivery solves it: Wunder Delivery generates message cards, envelopes, dispatch sheets, invoices and receipts from the order data itself, each on its own template, in one workflow.

Why can’t I print to more than one printer without a dialog every time?

Browsers show a print dialog for every document for security reasons, and each document must be routed to the right printer by hand — the card stock printer, the A4 laser, the label printer.

How Wunder Delivery solves it: Multi-printer routing from the Growth plan sends each document type to the printer that handles it. On Automate and Enterprise, QZ Tray prints silently with no dialog at all, and automatic printing prints incoming orders as they arrive.

Why can’t I send an invoice for a Shopify order that is already paid?

Shopify’s Send invoice button only exists on draft orders with payment still to collect. Once an order is paid — which is almost every online order — the button is gone, and a customer who asks for an invoice gets a manual workaround.

How Wunder Delivery solves it: Wunder Delivery generates an invoice PDF from any order and emails it, paid or not, on every plan.
