Setting up PrintNode
Connect your PrintNode account, assign a printer to each document, and get the paper size right so envelopes come out the size you meant.
PrintNode is a cloud printing service. Once it is set up, Wunder Delivery can send each document to its own printer without a print dialog.
You need your own PrintNode subscription, paid to PrintNode. It is not included in your Wunder Delivery plan. PrintNode support is available on Growth and above.
1. Set up PrintNode itself
- Create an account at PrintNode.
- Install the PrintNode client on a computer that your printers are connected to, and leave it running.
- Confirm your printers appear in your PrintNode dashboard.
- In your PrintNode account, find your API key.
2. Connect it to Wunder Delivery
- In Wunder Delivery, go to Settings → Print → General.
- Find the PrintNode section and paste your API key.
- Save.
Unlike the print engine choice, the API key lives on your store record — so every computer signed in to your shop uses it. You only do this once, not once per machine.
3. Assign a printer to each document
Still in Settings → Print → General, the printer assignment card groups everything by document — Dispatch, Envelope and Card. Each has its own printer dropdown.
You do not have to fill in all three. If you only assign a printer for cards, cards go to PrintNode and the other two fall back to your browser.
4. Check the paper size
Under each printer there is a paper size row with a status badge:

When no size matches, the printer falls back to its own default — usually A4 or Letter — and your envelope prints at the wrong scale on a big sheet. The page warns you when this happens, and the print page repeats the warning at print time. Set it manually and the problem goes away permanently.
Double-sided printing
If you set a document to Double-sided, the app checks whether the assigned printer actually supports it and tells you what it found. If the printer does not support duplex, you will be told rather than left wondering why sheets come out one-sided.
You also get a Flip edge choice — Long edge for upright pages, Short edge for notepad style. Change it if the back of your sheets prints upside-down.
The two work out the binding edge differently, so on an unusual custom paper size they can turn the sheet opposite ways. If you use both engines in the same shop, check a test page on each rather than assuming they match.
If something prints wrong
Settings → Print → General has a Print diagnostics panel. It records what was actually sent for each job — paper, scaling, copies, duplex — so a misprint can be traced without guesswork. Open it before contacting us; it usually contains the answer.
