Getting started

Your first delivery day, start to finish

A walk through one complete day — open the day view, check the orders, print what you need, assign a driver, and let the deliveries close themselves off.

This is the shape of a normal morning. Once you have done it once, the rest of the help centre is detail.

1. Open the day

Open Wunder Delivery from your Shopify admin. You land on the Delivery Action Centre — the dashboard.

Across the top is a row of date chips: yesterday, today, and the days ahead. Click the day you are working on. Everything below re-reads for that day.

How far ahead you can look depends on your plan

Essential shows a three-day view. Growth, Automate and Enterprise show seven days.

2. See what needs attention

The Action Centre is built around three questions you ask every morning:

  • Print queue — how many of today’s orders have not been printed yet. “Review unprinted orders” takes you straight to them.
  • Driver assignment — how many have no driver yet.
  • Delivery status — how many are still unfulfilled.

Below those, Order overview shows the day’s total, orders grouped by area, and orders per driver. Every one of those is clickable and drops you into the order list already filtered.

Each card says which day it is describing

You can drag the cards into whatever order suits you, so a card can end up above or below the date chips. Because of that, every card carries its own date line rather than relying on a heading above it. If a number looks wrong, read the date on that card first.

3. Check the orders

Click through to Orders — or open it from the sidebar and pick the day there.

This is a table of the day’s deliveries with the columns that matter for delivery work: recipient, phone, address, delivery method, the products with thumbnails, and the gift message. Scan it for anything obviously wrong — a missing phone number, an address with no unit number, a message that needs a second look.

You can turn columns on and off from the columns control at the right of the filters. Your choices are remembered for you.

Column choices are saved per staff account

They are attached to your Shopify staff login, not to the store. Your colleague sees their own layout. If someone says a setting "did not save", check they are looking at the same login they saved it under — this is the most common explanation.

4. Print

Tick the orders you want, then press Print. You are taken to the print page with those orders queued, and a counter showing where you are — 1 of 14.

There are three documents: the dispatch sheet (the full order summary your team packs from), the envelope (the recipient’s address), and the card (the gift message). Which of them print, and on which printer, is up to you — see choosing how you print.

Select the whole day if you want new orders to join the run

If you pick the day and select all the rows, the print queue keeps up — an order that arrives mid-run joins it and the counter grows. If you instead tick a handful of specific rows, that batch is fixed at exactly what you chose and nothing joins it. Both behaviours are deliberate: someone printing five orders must not have a sixth appear halfway through. This catches people out, so it is worth knowing which one you did.

5. Assign a driver

Back on Orders, tick the orders for one driver and use Manage tags to add that driver’s tag — driver001 and so on. That tag is the assignment. The driver sees those orders and nobody else’s.

Adding a driver tag does not remove the previous one

If an order already has driver001 and you add driver002, it now has both — and it genuinely appears in both drivers' rounds on their phones. That is sometimes what you want. When it is not, remove the old tag in the same dialog.

6. Let the day close itself

Your drivers open the driver portal on their phones, see only their own stops, and mark each one complete as they go. Each completion writes the fulfilment back to Shopify, so your order records stay current without anyone re-keying anything.

Watch the Delivery status card on the Action Centre come down through the afternoon. When it reaches zero, the day is done.
